At 11:40 am, return to the lodge to relax and have lunch. Later, set off for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile, where you can see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants on the riverbanks. You may also spot birds like the Goliath heron.

The boat ride takes you to the base of Murchison Falls for a clear view of the mighty waterfalls. Then, continue with a hike to the top. Though challenging, the experience is unforgettable. At the top, meet your driver for the return to the lodge.

Day 4

Get your breakfast early enough at your accommodation, depart right away for Kibale Forest National Park. The drive is incredibly scenic, passing through villages, lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations which characterize this part of Uganda. Kibale NP is popular for its primates like the chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys and red tailed monkeys. You will reach and do little but check in your accommodation for dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

You will have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7

Make sure you had your breakfast then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are really hard to spot (most especially when they’re down in the grassland looking for prey).

Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular! Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population) including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 8

A healthy breakfast is essential, so start your day with one. Afterward, a ranger guide will brief you before entering the gorilla sanctuary. The rainforest’s beauty is breathtaking, with steep forests and dense vegetation, yet accessible through animal trails.

The trek’s duration depends on the gorillas’ movements. Once a group is found, you will spend an hour observing them, a truly unforgettable experience. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, visit local villages for a cultural walk, interact with the hospitable community, and enjoy traditional performances. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The next day, take a scenic drive to the lake, enjoy a canoe trek, and then relax.

Day 9

A day of relaxation, have a relaxed breakfast and thereafter, drive off to Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa. Dotted with small islands with steep sides and terraced shores with its 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical, you could admire them all day.
You can go canoeing in the locally made canoes and this will introduce the different islands such as the punishment island commonly known as “Akampene” where bakiga girls were abandoned for getting pregnant before marriage.
Return to the accommodation for lunch and relaxation with a spectacular view of Lake Bunyonyi right in front of you.

Day 10

Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP. Drive past the intensely terraced Kigezi hill slopes into Mbarara town and finally Lake Mburo NP. Arrive in the park in the early afternoon and take some rest at your booked accommodation before embarking on the late afternoon (evening) game viewing. On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras in big numbers, topis, impalas, warthogs, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others. Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night.

Day 11

Enjoy an early breakfast, then proceed for a morning nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park with an armed ranger. Along the way, spot hyenas returning to their dens and encounter zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, and buffaloes up close.

Next, follow the trail to the hilltop for stunning views of Lake Mburo and its surroundings. From here, admire nine of the twelve lakes near the park.

Later, stop at the equator for photography, then have lunch. Finally, proceed to the airport for drop-off.
