Itinerary

Day 1

You will be picked from Istanbul airport and taken to your hotel. Today there is no scheduled activity, you will meet with our guide next day at 09:30 AM

Day 2

At 09:30 AM, our guide will pick you up from the hotel for a full-day walking tour of the heart of Ottoman and Byzantine history.

The highlights of the day include:

•            Topkapi Palace (optional): Explore the former residence of the Ottoman sultans and discover its rich history and stunning architecture.

•            Blue Mosque: Visit one of the most iconic landmarks of Istanbul, known for its impressive blue tile work and grandeur.

•            Hippodrome: Step back in time at the ancient chariot-racing track and see the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column, and German Fountain.

•            Hagia Sophia: Enter the magnificent Hagia Sophia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its Byzantine architecture and breathtaking interior.

•            Grand Bazaar : Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the world's oldest covered market, where you can shop for unique souvenirs, spices, and textiles.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Istanbul for overnight stay with breakfast included.

Day 3

We begin our journey with an early morning departure towards Canakkale, a city steeped in history and culture.

Upon our arrival in Canakkale, we'll embark on a captivating tour of Gallipoli. This historic peninsula is synonymous with the legendary World War I battle that took place here.

Highlights of the day:

•            Memorial Sites: Our first stop takes us to memorial sites such as Lone Pine, Chunuk Bair, and ANZAC Cove. These memorials pay tribute to the brave soldiers who fought here and left an indelible mark on history.

•            Battlefield Exploration: As we explore further, we'll visit poignant sites like The Nek and Johnston's Jolly, immersing ourselves in the trenches and tunnels that bear witness to the intense battles that unfolded on these hallowed grounds.

After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4

Today, our journey carries us to the captivating acropolis of Pergamum, a city that once stood as a cultural and political center of remarkable significance.

As you ascend the acropolis, you'll feel like you're stepping back in time. Explore the awe-inspiring temples, including the Temple of Trajan and the Library of Pergamum, which held an impressive collection of scrolls.

Continuing our historical voyage, we make our way to the legendary city of Troy, forever immortalized in tales of the Trojan War and the iconic Trojan Horse. Explore the archaeological site of ancient Troy, where the layers of history reveal the stories of battles and heroes. Overnight in Kusadasi

Day 5

Prepare to embark on a truly unforgettable journey through the annals of history as you join our Ephesus Tour, a voyage that will transport you back in time.

At Ephesus, you'll have the incredible opportunity to discover the mesmerizing ruins of an ancient city that stands today as one of the most remarkably well-preserved in the world.

Highlights of the day:

•            Library of Celsus: Admire the impressive facade of the ancient library, one of the most iconic structures in Ephesus.

•            Temple of Hadrian: Explore the grand temple dedicated to the Roman emperor Hadrian and marvel at its well-preserved columns and intricate reliefs.

•            Terrace Houses: Step into the lavish residential complex known as the Terrace Houses, where the affluent residents of Ephesus once lived.

•            Hercules Gate: Pass through this monumental gateway, adorned with detailed sculptures depicting the legendary hero.

•            Grand Theatre: Witness the magnificent theater that once accommodated up to 25,000 spectators and still hosts performances to this day.

•            The Snake Cult of Asklepios: Learn about the fascinating ancient cult that worshipped Asklepios, the god of healing, and see the remnants of the temple dedicated to him.

•            Herm (Marker) of Hermes: Discover the ancient markers that served as guides and boundary stones in the city.

•            Artemission: Visit the site where the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood.

•            Stone-carving of the goddess Nike: Admire the intricate stone-carving depicting the goddess Nike, the winged victory.

•            Fountain of Trajan: See the well-preserved ruins of the monumental fountain built in honor of Emperor Trajan.

•            House of Virgin Mary: Conclude the tour with a visit to the House of Virgin Mary, believed to be the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. (Optional)

Overnight in Pamukkale

Day 6

Embark on a remarkable adventure to Pamukkale, where nature's artistry unfolds before your eyes. Marvel at the surreal and ethereal beauty of the dazzling white travertine terraces, gracefully cascading down the hillside like frozen waterfalls. These natural formations, sculpted over millennia by mineral-rich thermal waters, present a mesmerizing spectacle that is nothing short of breathtaking.

 

Highlights of the tour include:

•            Hierapolis: Visit the Necropolis, the Theatre, and the fascinating Cleopatra Pool.

•            Pamukkale: The highlight of the day will be the famous travertines of Pamukkale, a natural wonder with terraces of dazzling white mineral-rich pools. Take in the breathtaking views and enjoy the unique experience of walking on the cotton-like formations.

•            Pamukkale Naturel Lake: You will also have the opportunity to visit Pamukkale Naturel Lake and Park, adding to the beauty of the area.

Day 7

From Pamukkale after breakfast, we will depart for Perge and Aspendos.

PERGE: According to the geographer Strabon,Perge has been founded by Akhas who came down here after the Trojan wars. Perge was first mentioned in 334 BC when Alexander the Great passed through here. In the following years, Perge went under the control of Pergamon when the Kingdom of Pergamon became a part of the Roman city. In the first and the second centuries BC, Perge became one of the richest towns in Pamphylia. Therefore, it is not a surprise that St. Paul started his campaign in Anatolia from Perge in 46 AD. After Perge, we will depart for Aspendos. Lunch break on the way.

ASPENDOS: The eastern land of Antalya was called Pamphylia in ancient times. Aspendos (Belkis) lies 47 km east of Antalya in the Pamphylian plain. In 486 BC, Greeks and Persians had a great battle here (Greeks won, they didn't stay for long). During the reign of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-80 AD) Aspendos got its theatre which is the best preserved of all. It was built by Romans and maintained by Byzantines and Seljuks. The ruins of the ancient city are extensive and include a stadium, an agora, and a basilica. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

Day 8

As we set off on our scenic drive to Cappadocia, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of Turkey's diverse landscapes, from rolling hills to picturesque valleys.

Our first stop in Konya will immerse you in the city's rich cultural tapestry, renowned for its historical landmarks, including the iconic Mevlana Museum dedicated to the famous poet Rumi.

 

Highlights of the day:

•            Sultanhani Caravansary: It is is a wonderful stop along the trip. Silk Road traders relied on this ancient site for refreshment and sanctuary.

•            Mevlana Museum: Visit the Mevlana Museum for a fascinating experience. The Mevlevi Order of Sufism founder Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi's mausoleum houses this museum. The museum contains Rumi's writings, relics, and artifacts, revealing his life and teachings.

•            Alaeddin Mosque: The Alaeddin Mosque, a beautiful Islamic building, is part of our Konya tour. The mosque's history and beauty reflect the city's legacy.

After a day filled with cultural and culinary delights, we'll continue our journey to Cappadocia, where you'll have the pleasure of spending the night amid the region's distinctive fairy chimneys and cave dwellings. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 9

Soar to new heights with our Hot Air Balloon and Cappadocia Tour. Experience the magical landscapes of Cappadocia from a bird's-eye view as you glide over its otherworldly rock formations, fairy chimneys, and valleys at sunrise. This unforgettable adventure offers a unique perspective on the natural wonders and enchanting terrain of this historical region.

•            Devrent Valley: After breakfast you will check out and today's tour will commence with a visit to Devrent Valley, known for its extraordinary fairy-chimneys and whimsical rock formations. Witness the natural beauty and learn about the geological history of the region.

•            Pasabagi (Monk's Valley): Continue to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley), where you will see fascinating mushroom-shaped pinnacles that make for a remarkable sight.

•            Cavusin: Next, proceed to the old Christian village of Cavusin, where you can explore the ancient ruins and gain insight into the village's intriguing history.

•            Pigeon Valley: Pause for a picture break near Pigeon Valley, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscapes.

•            Kaymakli Underground City: Continue the tour with a visit to the Kaymakli Underground City, one of Cappadocia's famous subterranean dwellings. Explore the intricate network of tunnels and rooms that served as a refuge for early Christians.

Day 10

Mount Nemrut, Overnight in Adiyaman

On the tenth day, our journey leads us to the majestic Mount Nemrut, a site celebrated for both its colossal statues and the spellbinding views that accompany the sunrise.

As the first rays of dawn illuminate this ancient wonder, you'll find yourself transported back in time, surrounded by the grandeur of an era long past.

This experience promises to be an unforgettable encounter with history and nature, leaving you in awe of the remarkable stories etched into the stones of Nemrut. Overnight in Adiyaman.

Day 11

Gobeklitepe, Harran, Urfa, Day eleven unfolds with a visit to the mystical site of Gobeklitepe, where age-old pillars stand as silent sentinels guarding the secrets of our distant ancestors.

The historical town of Harran beckons next, with its labyrinthine streets and tales from centuries ago

Finally, we arrive in Urfa, a place where traditions, culture, and the rhythms of life intermingle harmoniously.

Day 12

After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel. Our representative will assist you with your departure airport transfer, marking the end of our services.
