Itinerary

Day 1

Morning:

  • 6:00 AM: Depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park.
  • 9:00 AM: Arrive at the park gate and start your game drive.

Midday:

  • 12:30 PM: Picnic lunch inside the park near the Tarangire River.
  • 1:30 PM: Continue exploring—look out for elephants, baobab trees, lions, giraffes, and cheetahs.

Afternoon:

  • 4:30 PM: Exit the park and drive to Karatu (near Ngorongoro).
  • 6:30 PM: Check your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2

Distance: ~180 km (~4-5 hours)

Morning:

  • 6:30 AM: Have an Early breakfast, then descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.
  • 7:30 AM: Spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and other wildlife.
  • 10:30 AM: Visit Hippo Pool Picnic Site for a short break.

Midday:

  • 12:30 PM: Start the ascent back to the crater rim.
  • 1:30 PM: Lunch in Karatu or on the way back.

Afternoon:

  • 3:00 PM: Begin the drive back to Arusha.
  • 6:00 PM: Arrive in Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
