Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Ankara city center between 05:00 – 06:00 AM (depending on your flight time) and transferred to Ankara Airport. Please note that this is a domestic flight, and self check-in is required.

Upon arrival at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, our representative will welcome you with a name sign. After approximately a 1-hour drive, we will reach Göbeklitepe, where your tour begins.

Göbeklitepe is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the world, dating back over 12,000 years. It is approximately 8,000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids and 7,000 years older than Stonehenge. Even more remarkably, it predates the transition to settled human life.

This extraordinary site challenges long-held historical theories, revealing that organized religion may have existed before the first cities were established. Excavations suggest the presence of an early religious class, advanced social structures, and possibly the first agricultural activities in human history.

Göbeklitepe is also notable for:

• The earliest known monumental architecture
• The first examples of Neolithic sculptures and reliefs
• Early forms of terrazzo flooring

Due to its immense historical significance, Göbeklitepe was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018.

After the tour, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where you will taste the region’s famous Urfa Kebab.

Following lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel in Şanlıurfa for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure.
