Explore the UNESCO-listed towns of Ohrid and Kotor, rich in history, culture, and breathtaking views.

Itinerary

Day 1

At 6.00 am for groups ;  7.30am, private tours only, at hotel or meeting point.

We’ll make a short break along the way before continuing toward the Qafë Thanë border crossing.

Our first stop is in the Albanian town of Struga, where you’ll stroll along the lakefront and the Black Drin River, from the river’s mouth up to the town’s lively bazaar. You’ll have some free time to explore at your own pace.

Next, we head to Ohrid, a city steeped in history and charm. Here, we’ll visit the Old Town, the vibrant bazaar, and the lake promenade.

Optional: take a short boat ride on Lake Ohrid. We’ll also see St. Sophia Church and other landmarks, with some free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

After Ohrid, we continue to the Bay of Bones (2-3 EUR/pp), a unique archaeological site, followed by a visit to the Monastery of St. Naum and its surrounding natural park. Crossing back into Albania.

Before heading back to Tirana, we’ll visit the Drilon Natural Park, a beautiful green oasis. Return to Elbasan and Tirana in the evening.

End of our service.

Day 2

At 7.30, we depart  and procced to Shkoder (100km, 1.5-2h).
 During the road a short stop in Kruje a museum alike city, symbol of resistance in Medieval against Ottoman rule,  not only for Albania at the time, but Europe also. Birthplace of Skanderbeg, known as the prince of Christianity.

 Known for the culture, tradition and natural beauty, this city offers a touristic diversity that is rarely found in any other city in Albania: with rivers, lakes, lagoons and mountains which make Shkodra an unforgettable destination in Albania.

 City tour of Shkoder. Built on a rocky hill overlooking the city, by the rivers of Buna and Drini, you will find the most important monument of Shkoder. We visit the Castle of Rozafa as a 1st stop.
Let's go to the city and explore the Leaden Mosque and Catholic Church and notice the diverse religious elements and architecture. Visit on Venetian Mask Shop and Museum.
1h stop free time for lunch, choice in your hands.

Procced to Budva (90km, ~2.5–3 hours with border crossing), stop at St.Stefan Island for pictures.
Arrive in Budva to late afternoon, a charming coastal city, transfer to Old Town,  explore the city at your own, 1.5-3 h is enough to capture the essence of this trip. Late Lunch and check in to hotel. Overnight to Budva.

Day 3

At 7.50-9.00am, we procced to Kotor, the stunning Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southeast Europe.

09.00-11am Today, we'll start the city by a boat trip. 2hrs, where you'll visit.
Enjoy a panoramic drive along the stunning Bay of Kotor, with scenic viewpoints along the way.
Stop for a 20-minute visit to the iconic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks.
Continue to Perast Old Town, with 30 minutes to explore its charming streets and waterfront.

11-17.00pm The next stop you will have a guided walking tour. This old Mediterranean town, surrounded by formidable city walls, was built between the 12th and 14th centuries.
Its medieval architecture and other cultural monuments are why UNESCO included the city on the list of “World Natural and Historical Heritage Sites.”
We’ll check out the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, Maritime Museum, numerous Palaces, and Old Square and get to feel the atmosphere of this unique medieval town. Free time for shopping and lunch at your own.

At 17.00pm we depart to Shkoder and overnight there.

Day 4

After breakfast we depart from Shkoder to Tirana.
Depending on your flight time we start the trip.

1 overnight on Budva, on a  4* hotel.

English speaking local guide througout all itinerary.
