Itinerary

Day 1

● Meeting with guide and bus driver at Bari Airport. Transfer to Matera. ● Free lunch. ● In the afternoon guided walking tour of Matera. Touring Matera is like experiencing a forgotten past - you feel as though you are setting foot in a nativity scene when you visit this charming city in Lucania. It’s no coincidence, it’s referred to as the second Bethlehem, and was the setting for Mel Gibson’s movie The Passion, and Pier Paolo Pasolini’s Il Vangelo secondo Matteo (The Gospel According to St. Matthew). ● Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

● Breakfast in the hotel. ● In the morning walking guided tour of Matera to continue to discover this amazing and beautiful city. ● Free lunch. ● In the afternoon transfer to Altamura for a walking guided tour of the city and to tasting its famous bread. ● Return to the hotel to relax and to prepare for a typical dinner in Matera. ● To the end of the dinner transfer to the hotel for the overnight.

Day 3

● Breakfast in hotel. ● Transfer to Castellana for a guided tour of its famous cave. ● Free lunch to Alberobello, the city of Trulli. ● In the afternoon transfer to Polignano a Mare, a beautiful city by the sea. ● Transfer to Bari Airport. ● End of the tour
