Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi, where you will drive south towards Amboseli National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop. After arriving, you'll check into your lodge, then enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and numerous bird species. Amboseli is particularly famous for its large elephant population, and it offers some of the best opportunities to photograph these majestic animals with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
After breakfast, you'll depart Amboseli and head towards Tsavo West National Park, one of Kenya's oldest and most famous parks. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and cheetahs. Tsavo West is also known for its beautiful landscapes, featuring volcanic hills, hot springs, and the famous Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos and crocodiles in crystal-clear water. After a game drive, you can visit the Sheldrick Falls or take a break at the natural hot springs for a refreshing experience.
Today, you’ll continue your safari to Tsavo East National Park, which offers a dramatic contrast to Tsavo West with its vast savannahs, open plains, and riverine forests. Known for its large populations of elephants and lions, Tsavo East is often less crowded than other parks, allowing for a more intimate safari experience. You’ll enjoy game drives across the park’s extensive terrain, where you can spot herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and various predators like lions and leopards. The Yatta Plateau, the world's longest lava flow, is also a unique feature of Tsavo East.
On your final day, enjoy an early morning game drive in Tsavo East to catch the wildlife at its most active. Afterward, return to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport, bringing an end to your exciting 4-day safari.
