You will be amazed at the diversity of the culture. So you will participate in your first Turkish cooking lesson and cook the special dishes of the season. After the class, we will have what we cooked for lunch. Next, we will head to Eminonu District, which is famous for its spice bazaar and food market. Here you will not only see the thousands of different spices and herbs like cinnamon, saffron, fruit teas, Turkish coffee, etc., but you will also see different types of food such as dried fruits, olives, grape leaves, cheese, vegetables, pickles, sweets, and more that local people buy. After the tour, drop off at the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Topkapi Palace Museum is the first stop on our tour. The palace was the home of the Ottoman Sultans and their families from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Today, it is home to an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelains. During our visit, you will have the chance to see all these collections, including the sultan's garments and Islamic holy relics. The Sultan Ahmet Imperial Mosque, which was built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is one of the stops on the tour. It is also known as the "Blue Mosque" because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. The Hippodrome; the site of ancient chariot races, and the home of three ancient monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine are on our places to visit list. When you reach the other end of the Hippodrome, the Hagia Sophia Mosque will meet you with all its grandeur. After the tour, you will be dropped back at the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
After the tour, return to the hotel for a rest. In the evening, we depart for your belly dancing and folklore class. This will be a memorable class where you will learn belly dancing techniques as well as folklore dance. You will learn the special moves and how to get the attention of the audience. We have dinner at the restaurant. Overnight in Istanbul.
Please note: Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays, the Bascilica Cistern can be an alternative. Please contact your consultant for both attractions' details. Remember to bring a headscarf when visiting religious sites such as the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia Mosque.
