Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon your arrival in Kampala or Entebbe, our experienced guide will pick you up and embark on a scenic journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive itself is an opportunity to witness the diverse landscapes of Uganda, with the possibility of spotting some wildlife along the way. As you approach the park, be on the lookout for baboons, waterbucks, and various bird species. Arriving at your accommodation, you can enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the natural beauty of the park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Evening Nature Walk
Start your day with an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking experience in the Kyambura Gorge. The dense forest is home to a habituated community of chimpanzees, and as you trek through the lush vegetation, you may encounter these intelligent primates swinging from the trees or engaging in their daily activities. The afternoon offers a more leisurely nature walk, providing an opportunity to appreciate the park’s biodiversity, with sightings of Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and a variety of bird species.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Rise early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, known for their abundant wildlife. Keep an eye out for the iconic African Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos – as well as other savannah dwellers such as giraffes, antelopes, and warthogs. The open savannah landscape allows for excellent wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This waterway teems with life, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. As you cruise, you’ll witness elephants, buffaloes, and various antelopes grazing along the water’s edge.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, enjoy the picturesque scenery and perhaps spot some wildlife that you might have missed on your way to the park. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari, filled with diverse wildlife experiences and the breathtaking landscapes of Uganda.
