Embark on an unforgettable 5-day journey through two of Uganda's most captivating national parks, seamlessly blending the open savannahs of Lake Mburo with the misty, ancient forests of Bwindi. This carefully curated safari offers a perfect balance of classic African wildlife viewing and the profound, once-in-a-lifetime experience of coming face-to-face with the endangered mountain gorilla.
Your adventure begins in the tranquil landscapes of Lake Mburo National Park, a hidden gem where zebras graze alongside buffalos and hippos wallow in the shimmering lake waters. Here, you will stay at the unique and rustic The Kraal, immersing yourself in the region's pastoral beauty through game drives and a serene boat cruise.
From the savannah, your journey continues westward into the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a sanctuary for roughly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Nestled in the park's scenic Ruhija sector is your home for the next two nights, the elegant Ruzogo Safari Lodge, where breathtaking forest views set the stage for the adventure to come.
The highlight of your trip awaits on Day 4: the extraordinary privilege of trekking through the dense jungle to spend a magical hour observing a habituated gorilla family in its natural habitat. It is an encounter that touches the soul and leaves an indelible mark on every traveler.
This itinerary is designed not just to showcase Uganda's incredible biodiversity, but to do so in comfort and style at your chosen lodges. From the rolling hills of the equator to the depths of the impenetrable forest, prepare for a safari that is as diverse as it is deeply rewarding
