Departure to Plovdiv. Sightseeing tour in the Old Town, including a visit to the Roman Ancient Theatre, which was build in the 2nd century AD under the rule of the Emperor Trajan, visit to the picturesque old town streets and beautiful houses, St. Constantine and Helena Church, etc. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from one of the ancient hills. Free time for lunch and shopping. Departure to Sofia in the late afternoon.

Departure for Rila Monastery - the most exquisite example of the monastery art and architecture in Bulgaria, UNESCO heritage site. Guided tour of the monastery complex. Visit to Nativity of the Virgin Church with its miracle icon of the Virgin. On the way back to Sofia – stop and visit of the Boyana Church – another UNESCO heritage site, famous for its 13- century frescoes.
