Itinerary

Day 1

Today upon your arrival at Mataveri International Airport, you will be greeted by our
friendly staff who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to your hotel in the town of Hanga Roa.
The journey from the airport to your hotel typically takes around 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the
location of your accommodation. As you travel from the airport, you'll immediately notice the unique
landscape of Easter Island, with its captivating volcanic terrain, lush greenery, and iconic moai statues
scattered across the island.
While en route to your hotel, you may catch glimpses of the island's pristine beaches, rugged coastline, and
vibrant flora and fauna. Our knowledgeable driver will be happy to provide you with interesting facts and
insights about Easter Island and its rich cultural heritage.
Upon reaching your hotel, our team will ensure a smooth check-in process, allowing you to start your
adventure on this enchanting island without delay.
We hope you enjoy your stay on Easter Island and have an unforgettable experience exploring its wonders!

Watching the sun gently sink into the Pacific Ocean is one of Easter Island’s natural highlights. The iconic
statues in the foreground can make for a memorable experience. Today you will visit Ahu Tahai, which is
very popular amongst visitors each evening.
From Hanga Roa Town you can take a taxi or go walking, this second option is our recommendation since
you will see the main Park from Hanga Roa where they do all the events, festivals and celebrations. also,
you will pass by the oldest Graveyard in front of the ocean which is a perfect stop for greeting the universe
for those special moments you are living. After that, you will arrive in Tahai where you can wait for the
sunset while taking some pictures and enjoying some snacks. After the sunset walk back to Hanga Roa on
this street you already walked by you can find many restaurants and bars to end the day with some
delicious Island Food.
Day 2

Today the first stop takes us to an unrestored Ahu Vaihu (Ceremonial Site), located in the bay of Hanga Tee on
the south coast of the island, witnessing a phase of destruction a few centuries ago.
We continue to Tongariki, this place is home to 15 Moais standing next to each other. This is the larger
amount of Moais in the same place that still stands. Here you will learn more about Rapa Nui Culture, take
some amazing pictures, and feel the Energy of the Island.
After this we arrive at one of the most important sites of the Rapa Nui culture, the Rano Raraku quarry,
where a total of approx. 900 statues were carved, 397 of them still lying or standing at different times of
their construction and transport. We proceed to Ahu Tongariki, restored in 1995, with its 15 standing
statues. The penultimate site we will visit is the "Navel of the World", together with the Ahu Te Pito Kura.
After This, you will have time for lunch.
Finally, we arrive at Anakena Beach where we find 2 platforms, the Ahu Nau Nau and the Ahu Ature Huki,
both restored. We can also appreciate the warm waters of the Pacific, and relax on the beach with white
sand under palm trees.
After one hour on the beach, you will head back to your hotel in Hanga Roa.

Day 3

On this day drive up to the extinct volcano Rano Kau, appreciate a view over the whole island and see its distinct geological features, and proceed to an outlook at the crater lake. Afterward drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place, and where you will see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture.
Enjoy the breathtaking view towards the 3 islets Motu Nui, Motu Iti, and Motu Kao Kao opposite the coast.
At the end of the tour, you will go back to the hotel.

Day 4

Today you will have the chance to relax and have some fun at the beach!
You can hire a driver who can pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Anakena Beach.
Anakena is the most extensive natural beach on the Island, most of the time the sand is white, but on some
occasions due to a light effect with the sun, the sand turns pink quite a magical show!
The beach has bathrooms, restaurants, and a picnic area!
Enjoy this Magical day perfect for the whole Family!
Day 5

Discover Easter Island the way the locals do it and tour the most extensive network of volcanic caves in the
world on horseback!
At the agreed time, we will depart from your hotel to visit the volcanic cavern area of Easter Island. We will start with a visit to Ana Kakenga, where the famous window-shaped caves are located.
From there we will ride to Ana te Pahu, also known as "The Cave of Bananas" because of the trees that grow
around it. We will then ride through the Akivi Ahu, where the erected moai known as "The Seven Explorers"
are located, to finish at Maunga Roiho, a secondary cone of the Terevaka volcano, which together make
up the most extensive network of volcanic caves in the world.
At the end of the adventure, we will return to Hanga Roa, and have time for lunch.
Appreciating the volcanic geography of Rapanui from the sea is one of the activities you cannot miss.
In the afternoon we will take boat tour in the cove of Hanga Roa, it begins by touring the
caverns of the Mataveri sector and then skirts the cliffs of the Rano Kao volcano until reaching Los Motus;
islets that emerge from the sea and where many birds live.
In the bay of Motu Nui where the swell is very weak, it is possible to practice snorkeling; you only need a
short suit, fins, and mask to appreciate the beautiful underwater cliffs of the sector, in one of the clearest
waters of the planet, where on good days, it reaches 60 meters of visibility.
An unforgettable experience!
Day 6

Today after breakfast will start the Akivi with Tahai excursion. We will visit the Tahai ceremonial
site with 3 platforms, the AHU, with its re-set-up statues. This site also contains the only Moai with eyes.
In addition, we can see the remains of a boat house, a stone hen house, and a wharf completely built-in stones.
Then we will continue our visit to Ahu Akivi, a platform with 7 restored Moais. According to legend,
these 7 statues represent the first explorers who arrived on Rapa Nui, sent by King Hotu Matua. Finally, we
will visit the Puna Pau quarry where the Pukao, "hats" of the Moai, were carved.
Return to the town and time for lunch.
At night, you will enjoy of the Kari Kari Cultural Ballet, that is the oldest artistic group of Rapa Nui. Their objective is to rescue, value and transmit the dance, melodies, and culture of the Rapa Nui ancestors.
When you live the experience of seeing Kari Kari, you will not only be in front of a show full of energy and
beauty, with live music that will deeply touch your soul and senses, but you will also get to know ancestral
artistic expressions such as the Hoko (warrior dance), the Kai-Kai (thread game that tells a story), the Sau Sau (dance of love) and the Riu Uté (ancestral songs), which represent the most traditional way of life of these people, their customs and history.
As long as you watch this wonderful presentation, you will have a beautiful dinner, with delicious typical
dishes from Rapa Nui.
Day 7

As your adventure on Easter Island comes to an end, it's time to bid farewell to this extraordinary
destination and head back to Santiago, Chile.
The journey from the town to the airport typically takes around 15 to 20 minutes, allowing you to soak in the
last glimpses of Easter Island's breathtaking landscapes.
We wish you a safe and pleasant journey back to Santiago and hope to welcome you back to Easter Island
