Welcome to Turkey! Very few people have climbed Mount Ararat. It is only in the last few years that it has become accessible to trekkers. Because of the new nature of tourism in eastern turkey we recommend that you only travel with experienced guides on our tours. You will be met at Van airport by our staff. Drive to Dogubeyazit, taking the opportunity to visit the Waterfall of Muradiye on the way. Check into your hotel for Dinner with your guide and other members of your group. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.

We depart for Mount Ararat by truck. On the way you will see some small Kurdish villages. Here your Trek begins to your first overnight camp at 3,200 - the Green camp. On the way up to green camp you can observe some of the nomadic people who live on the mountain. In the summer months the local people herd their sheep and goats in the rugged terrain of Mount Ararat. We can also arrange for you to visit the nomadic people and experience their way of life. Dinner and overnight at Camp.

Acclimatization day. Today it is important for you to acclimatize before we trek up 4,200m. Overnight at Camp.

Today we will trek to 4,200 to the Beach Camp - the highest beach camp in the world. Today will also be an important day for you to acclimatize before we head to the peak. Overnight at Camp.

Early in the morning we will begin our ascent to the peak. You will have plenty of time to explore the peak before we return to green camp at 3,200m. Depending on what you want to do we can stay overnight in the green camp or return back to a warm hotel and a hot shower in Dogubeyazit.

If you chose to stay the extra night at green camp then today we will trek back down to 2,000m and then return to Dogubeyazit. If you're already at Dogubeyazit then there is a free day for you to explore the town and the culture. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.

Today we will visit the Dogubeyazit Ishak pasha palace and ark of Noah. There is also an opportunity to take an optional visit to the hot springs of Diyadin. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.

Today we will head to Van and visit Van Castle and Akdamar church. Other sightseeing in Van includes the local bazaar and museum. Overnight at Van.
