Visit the centre of the town-walking tour from Kennedy Square to Agora and then visit Archaeological Park and Tomb of the Kings. Afternoon at leisure
Meet the authentic Cyprus local hospitality, history, and tradition. Pick up from hotel for a short tour of the city, pass the archaeological park and tomb of the Kings followed by visit to a factory producing Cyprus delights called Lokoumia and pottery workshop. From there we will go to a small village, Letymvou, where we will visit Sophia’s traditional house where you can experience rooms with the original furniture and décor as well as traditional costumes. You will learn how to bake village bread in the clay oven and makes other local delicacies such as the traditional halloumi cheese. Afterwards we will have to have lunch which you will taste local cuisine by Sophia. Visit Tsangarides winery to experience the wine making in one of the most famous wineries in Cyprus and wine tasting On the way back you will be able to admire the view of Paphos and the coastline. Arrive to the hotel your free time at leisure.
After Breakfast we are checking out and onboard our coach to depart for a full day tour in nature through Paphos Forest to visit Kykkos Monastery, a renowned and rich Monastery and visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios the III’, first president of Cyprus, called Throni where you can enjoy the breath-taking view of almost all the islands! The tour continue via Marathasa Valley to Troodos main square for short stop. On our return we will visit the Agros village famous for its sweats and roses and Omodos village best known for its wine tradition. Arriving in Limassol and after short city tour, we stop for the rest of the day. Dinner & Overnight
After breakfast we depart and heading to Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, and on the way, you will visit the pasturage Lefkara village, famous for it crafts and laces. In fact, the crafts of lace and silver have been practiced in the village since Venetian times, and visitors can learn all about them. Legend has it that the famous painter, Leonardo da Vinci himself visited the village in 1481 and bought a lace altar cloth, which he donated to Milan cathedral. Arriving in Nicosia we will first visit the Cathedral of St John and then proceed on foot (weather permitting) through the narrow streets of the old quarter until we reach the “Laiki Yitonia” with its colourful cafes, tavernas and shops. There will be plenty of free time for lunch (not included), shopping or visiting the museum. If you bring your passport, it is also possible to cross the green line to visit the occupied part of Nicosia (optional). Return to Paphos, Dinner & Overnight
