Wilpattu National Park

Wilpattu is largest and one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka. It is a haven for elusive Leopards, Sloth Bears, Elephants, nearly 150 varieties of Birds and numerous other Animals.
Sri Lanka Junglefowl : The Sri Lanka Junglefowl, the island’s most common endemic bird and national bird, is strongly sexually dimorphic. Males are larger with vivid plumage, a prominent comb, and a yellow patch, while females have cryptic brown feathers with white markings, ideal for ground nesting camouflage.
