Your Cusco City Tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco’s city center at around 12:50 p.m. From there, we will start this cultural experience through the most important historical sites of the ancient Inca capital.
Our first visit will be the Cathedral Basilica of Cusco, located in the Main Square. Inside, you will discover beautiful colonial art, religious paintings, carved altars, and important historical details that reflect the Spanish colonial period in the Andes.
Then, we will continue to Qorikancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. This was one of the most sacred temples of the Inca Empire and today shows a unique fusion between Inca stone architecture and colonial construction.
After visiting the city center, we will travel by tourist transport to the archaeological sites located around Cusco. We will visit Sacsayhuaman, famous for its enormous stone walls and panoramic views of the city. Then, we will continue to Qenqo, a ceremonial site with carved rock formations; Puka Pukara, known as the “Red Fortress”; and Tambomachay, an ancient Inca site related to water worship.
At the end of the tour, we will return to Cusco. The experience ends near the city center at approximately 6:50 p.m.
