Your South Valley Tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco’s city center. From there, we will travel by tourist transport toward the southern part of the Cusco region, an area known for its beautiful landscapes, traditional villages, archaeological sites, and rich cultural history.
Our first visit will be Tipon, one of the most impressive examples of Inca hydraulic engineering. Here, you will see agricultural terraces, ceremonial fountains, water channels, and stone structures that show the advanced knowledge of the Incas in water management.
Then, we will continue to Pikillacta, an ancient pre-Inca city built by the Wari culture. This archaeological site allows travelers to understand the importance of civilizations that existed before the Inca Empire and their influence on Andean urban planning.
Our final visit will be Andahuaylillas, a charming colonial town famous for its church, often called the “Sistine Chapel of America” because of its beautiful murals, religious art, and decorated interior.
After the guided visit, we will return to Cusco by tourist transport. The tour ends near the city center.
