Itinerary

Day 1

( Lunch Included )

The team will pick you up from your hotel in Ankara between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. After a drive of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, we'll arrive at the Hattusha ancient site, where we'll visit the capital of the Hittite Empire. The city was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986 and has a rich history that dates back to the 13th century BC and even earlier.

Hattusha's archaeological site is famous for its well-preserved urban organization, which includes temples, royal residences, and fortifications. The city's ornate Lion's Gate and Royal Gate are notable features, as is the ensemble of rock art at Yazilikaya. Hattusha was a significant cultural and political center in Anatolia and northern Syria during the 2nd millennium BC.

During our visit, you'll also have the chance to explore the famous rock sanctuary of Yazilikaya, which was an open-air temple with two natural chambers carved into the bedrock. This sacred and memorial site for the Hittites features the twelve Hittite gods of the underworld, which you'll have the opportunity to see firsthand. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.

The tour will end; however, you can sign up to take advantage of TSG credits, and this is the best way to snag credits and use them for your next trips as a discount, as well as to hear about the hot deals according to your interests.
