Our team will meet you at Galataport Cruise Port and pick
you up directly from your cruise ship. After meeting with your guide, you
will start a gorgeous Istanbul City Tour. The first stop is Topkapi
Palace, the great palace of the Ottoman Sultans from the 15th to the 19th
centuries. The palace houses an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and
Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, famous jewels
of the imperial treasury, miniatures, and the holy mantle enshrining relics of
the Prophet Mohammed. The second stop of the tour is Sultanahmet Square,
where the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque salutes the Hagia Sophia.
The Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, was
built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet and is famous for its
magnificent interior decoration with blue Iznik tiles. Next, the tour will
explore the Hippodrome, the site of ancient chariot races and home to
three historic monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine
Column, and the Column of Constantine. At the end of the Hippodrome,
the magnificent Hagia Sophia Mosque will welcome you with all its
grandeur. After completing the city tour, you will be transferred back to
Galataport Cruise Port and dropped off at your cruise ship. In the evening,
guests will join a Bosphorus Dinner Cruise with dinner included,
offering a unique opportunity to enjoy Istanbul’s skyline by night while
cruising along the Bosphorus Strait.

Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays; in this case, the Basilica Cistern
can be visited as an alternative. Please contact your consultant for details.
