We start the day by visiting Galata, a historical Jewish neighborhood, where you will see the famous Galata Tower, built by the Genoese in 1303. Explore the area and visit important synagogues such as Neve Shalom Synagogue and Ashkenazi Synagogue, which are central to the Jewish community in Istanbul. After enjoying a traditional lunch, we continue our tour with a visit to the world-famous Hagia Sophia (St. Sophia), a UNESCO World Heritage Site originally built in the 6th century. Next, we head to Balat, one of Istanbul’s oldest neighborhoods, where you will notice the Star of David on building facades, reflecting the deep-rooted Jewish history in this area. Here, we will visit two historic synagogues from the 15th century: Ahrida Synagogue and Yanbol Synagogue. The tour also includes a visit to the Jewish Home for the Elderly along the Golden Horn, offering a glimpse into the community’s social life and traditions. At the end of this memorable cultural journey, we will return you to your hotel. Join us for this unique experience and explore the fascinating Jewish heritage of Istanbul with TravelShop Booking!
