We will pick up from your hotel. After the breakfast we head toward Taskopru, one of the largest districts of Kastamonu having many cultural riches. First a run for 30 minutes and we arrive at Donalar village where we visit the rock graves. This utmost exceptional rock grave with reliefs which are dated to B.C. 5th century impresses visitors. (One may reach to Donalar village only by passenger cars or minibusses, not by busses). Then, we travel to Taskopru district center and visit historical stone bridge, Tas Mosque, historical houses, and restored historical ammunition building respectively. Then, we have a lunch break and taste delicious pit kebab (biryan kebab) whose name is associated with Taskopru. After the dinner we go to Pompeiopolis excavation site and visit (if the weather is suitable) this important city which had been a very important military post and Anatolian province center of Roman Empire especially from the 1st B.C. to 2nd-3rd A.D. In the ruins we visit a villa and its path mosaics, an excavation of a theatre, a church etc. which are brought to light lately. Besides next to the ruins we visit the small museum where historical artifacts found in excavation are brought to light (heavily Roman period), it may not be possible to visit the museum except excavation periods. Before returning, we do not forget to buy the garlic of Taskopru, which is famous worldwide. At evening returning to Kastamonu and having leisure time. After end of the day, return to your hotel.
