Gala Lake National Park is an important wetland located in Turkey, covering a total area of 6,090 hectares, with 3,090 hectares of wetlands and 3,000 hectares of forests. The park is home to 163 species of birds, which can be observed in April, May, and September. It includes Lake Pamuklu and Lake Kucuk Gala, which are located in the districts of Ipsala and Enez, respectively. In 1991, 2,369 hectares (5,850 acres) of land were declared a nature reserve, and they are now recognized as Turkey's second-largest bird sanctuary.
