Have your breakfast, embark in your vehicle for your 2-hour transfer to the Katuna Border Post with Uganda and present your COVID –19 vaccination certificate or PCR results for those not vaccinated before you cross the border and onward a further 3 hours to the Queen Elizabeth NP, On arrival you will check in, have your lunch and proceed with an afternoon game drive.

Queen Elizabeth is famous for its high numbers of Elephants and prides of lions. There is a bounty of game drive to spot from small creatures to Hippos and fabulous birding.

In the evening, we will drive towards Kazinga Chanel for sundowner boat safari.

Kazinga joins Lakes Edward and George, for a boat safari and has Africa's highest concentration of Hippos and their friends the crocodiles and water buffalo will be hanging out with them. The birding is amazing and often the Elephants come done for a drink.

In the late afternoon head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at   Enganzi Game Lodge.

After an early breakfast we head of to the nearby KalinzuForest Reserve where the rangers will give you a trek briefing before we head off to find our closest living relative. The Kalinzu Chimpanzees are considered extremely reliable with a trekking success rate of over 95%.

In Uganda today, efforts to actually conserve the chimpanzees are extensively acknowledged and well supported.  Actually, The Jane Goodall Foundation has played a major role in the overall conservation of these Chimpanzees, found in Uganda.

We will most likely finish around 11 am.  After the trek, we return to your lodge for a freshen up and lunch before departing for a 5-hour transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and Overnight at  Bakiga Lodge.

After breakfast drive to the Uganda Wildlife Authority Bwindi Park Headquarters. The early morning briefing starts at 8 am and hear the rangers will give you information on the trek, gorilla behavior, and rules.  Then you head off into the Impenetrable Forest in search of these magnificent beasts.

The advanced tracking group gives your guides an indication of where the gorillas were located last night, however, these creatures constantly move in search of food so the trek can take 2-6 hours in total. When you come across the Gorillas you will sense the excitement as you get to spend an hour with the troop you have come across. It is often described as one of the great natural animal encounters on the planet.

There are only around 1063 Mountain Gorillas left in the world and Bwindi has almost 1/3 of them.

From here we begin the 4.5-hour transfer back to Kigali arriving around 5 pm. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Onomo Hotel

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali airport for your flight to your next destination.
