Langtang region of Nepal is situated favorably close to the capital city Kathmandu. Surrounded by rural landscape and its wild Tibetan influence are extremely appealing. The people living here are descendants of the Tibetan origin, and the chances to mix with these welcoming inhabitants are surely an experience in itself.
The short Trek takes about 11 days to complete and starts off with a drive from Kathmandu to Sypru Besi Rasuwa.
As you move along the trail to pass through Lama Hotel and Mundu, the landscape gives way to varieties of rhododendron, forests of bamboo and beautiful waterfalls. The tree line is left behind, to expose the arid area of Langtang, complete with views of Langtang Lirung (7234m), Yala Peak (5500m), Mt. Shisapangma (8027m) along the way. This trek has been labeled 'the glacier trek' for its breath-taking views of amazing glaciers flowing down from the mountain peaks.
The highest point to stepping on in this trek is Tserko Ri (3870m) which offers, even more close up views of all the mountain peaks adoring the region. The short trek comes to an end in Kathmandu and all surely leaves adventure seekers willing toreturn back for more.
