Mardi Himal Base Camp trek is magnificent newly opened eco-tourism lying just east of Nepal, the trekking trail that takes trekkers to the base camp of Mardi Himal offers an extraordinary view of the majestic Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Manaslu. The Mardi Himal trek is unfolding with amazing displays of incredible snowcapped peaks, forests of lovely rhododendrons, oaks, and magnolia pines, green rolling hills, spectacular pristine little settlements of Tamang and Gurung people, landscapes and panoramic Himalayan views, and a chance to know the socio-cultural values and lifestyle of Magar and Gurung community, All the way up to the base of Mardi Himal. Camping every night, sleeping under the stars and the mighty Himalayas offer the utmost adventure to the trekkers. 4,500m is the maximum altitude during this trek.
This trekking route is a moderate trekking journey so don’t need a prior trekking experience to do this. However, preparing your body beforehand for the trekking journey certainly does help. Moreover, our highly skilled and professional team will make sure to take care of you during the journey. Ideally, the best time to do this trek is during the months of March to May and September to December. The trek follows the beaten trails of shepherds as it still provides summer grazing. The trek was officially opened in 2012 and is still pristine. The trail goes along small winding paths, through magical rhododendron forests until you climb out of the forest at an elevation of around 3,300 m. The landscape changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape. Along with changing landscape views, you get are of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. There are several plans for the same trail which trekkers can choose according to their comfort-ability.

Kathmandu

The flight into Kathmandu is breathtaking with views of green hills and snowy peaks. Once you arrive at Kathmandu head towards your accommodation. Later in the evening, you'll have a short briefing about the trip.
Head to Pokhara early in the morning, the Tourist Bus takes around 5-6 hours through the Prithvi highway. Once you arrive at Pokhara, go to your accommodation and later on head out to explore the city, the city has various tourist attractions.
After an early breakfast, drive to Phedi the beginning point of your journey, from here you'll pass picturesque local towns and dense woods, and various terraced fields, continue your journey towards Deurali, a tiny settlement perched on the summit of a hill with wonderful views of the Annapurna range, Mardi Himal, and Machhapuchhre.
After breakfast, follow the trail towards Forest Camp, a 5-6 hour trek through a thick forest of Rhododendrons, Oak, Maple, and a thick undergrowth of vegetation. Once you arrive at the forest camp take a rest, and later on, explore the area.
Today the trail will lead you through dense woodland and thick vegetation, the perfect opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of the region along the way, once you arrive at Low camp witness a spectacular beautiful green valley and thrilling mountain views of Mt. Machhapuchhre and the Mardi Himal.
Today wake up early and after a light breakfast head to the trail again, the trail takes you to the higher part of the valley, alongside the Machhapuchare and Mardi Himal's thrilling mountain peaks. Once you get to high camp, you'll be treated to a beautiful view of the mountain range and the isolated valley of the Annapurna region.
Wake up early as possible and after breakfast head towards the base camp, the trail is narrow and has sheer cliffs so take caution, follow the trail to the upper viewpoint, and ascend to the Mardi base camp, you'll witness spectacular views of Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m). After spending a brief time at the base camp retrace your steps back to High camp.
Today the trail mostly consists of the downhill hike, taking it slow, and passing through various settlements and dense woodlands, once you reach Siding rest and enjoy the night.
From Siding start early and head towards Lumle, On a 3-4 hours trek along the way you'll pass through the villages of Kalimati and Ghalel. Once you reach Lumle rest and head towards Pokhara. Once you reach Pokhara explore the lake city.
You'll be traveling back to Kathmandu today. Once you reach your accommodation go sightseeing, stroll through Thamel, and perhaps do some souvenir shopping.
In the evening, a special cultural program and a farewell dinner will be served to commemorate the end of your journey.
