Nikko Tosho-gu
Toshogu Shrine in Nikko, Japan, is a grand memorial for Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. It honors him as the deity Tosho Daigongen. Originally modest, the shrine was expanded into its current spectacular form by Ieyasu's grandson, Iemitsu, in the 17th century. You can appreciate Japanese notable buidligs and arts here, such as five story pagoda, storehouse, and Yomenmon gate, etc.
Lake Chuzenji
Lake Chuzenji is a scenic mountain lake near Nikko, formed around 20,000 years ago when Mount Nantai erupted, blocking the valley and creating the lake. It sits at the foot of Mount Nantai, Nikko's sacred volcano.
Kegon Falls
Kegon Waterfall in Nikko, almost 100 meters tall, is renowned among Japan's top three falls, along with Nachi Waterfall and Fukuroda Waterfall. It serves as the only outlet for Lake Chuzenji. The waterfall is visible from a free observation platform and a paid platform at its base, accessed by a 100-meter-deep elevator for more impressive views.
