Tour Overview

The tour starts at 10:00 AM with hotel pick-up by VIP minivan. Along the way, guests are introduced to Cappadocia’s unique history and learn why the region has been an ideal place for settlement and shelter for thousands of years.

The first stop is the Göreme Panorama, offering a breathtaking view of the region and an introduction to Cappadocia’s volcanic origins and natural landscape.

Next, we enjoy a panoramic stop at Pigeon Valley, with free time for photos. Guests can also make a wish at the traditional wish tree while learning about the historical importance of pigeon houses in local life.

We then visit the Kaymaklı Underground City, one of Cappadocia’s most impressive underground settlements, originally carved as a refuge from invasions. During the visit, the guide explains how underground life and defense systems were organized. The earliest levels date back to the 7th century BC.

Afterward, there is a free local tasting stop, featuring pumpkin seeds and other regional products grown in Cappadocia.

In the afternoon, we explore Paşabağları (Monks Valley), a key site for early Christianity and home to some of the region’s most iconic fairy chimneys. Here, the guide provides a clear and visual explanation of Cappadocia’s geological formation.

There is free time for lunch at a local restaurant (lunch not included).

The tour continues with a visit to the Zelve Open-Air Museum, a former rock-cut settlement and important monastic center, abandoned in 1952 due to erosion and safety concerns.

A short stop follows in Devrent Valley, famous for its naturally shaped rocks resembling animals and figures.

The day ends with a visit to a traditional pottery workshop and art gallery, run by a local family. Pottery-making in the region dates back nearly 4,000 years to the Hittite era. Guests can watch the process and even try making pottery themselves for an interactive cultural experience.
