From there, you’ll head to your hotel in Amman to check-in and settle in. You may take it easy and rest up for the adventure-packed days ahead. Overnight in Amman.
Today you'll start your journey by visiting Wadi Al-Mujib. The Wadi Mujib, also known as Arnon Stream, is a river in Jordan. The river empties into the Dead Sea circa 420 meters below sea level. In ancient times, the river served as the northern boundary of the kingdom of Moab. Today, the Wadi Mujib is fed by seven tributaries. The western part of the river is the site of the Mujib Biosphere Reserve, popular for hikes & canyoning amid dramatic rock formations. Siq Trail, the trail starts at Mujib Adventure Center where you will take the cantilevered walkway and follow the course of the river between the towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. This is an idea walk to take slowly and enjoy the cool water and shade, especially in the heat of summer.
Then we'll ahead to the Dead Sea. A spectacular natural wonder the Dead Sea that is located 427 meters below sea level is perfect for wellness and religious tourism. With its mix of beach living and religious history you can soak up the sun while Biblical scholars can get their daily dose of religious history.
Start our journey to visit the Baptism site. Home to several biblical cities including Sodom, Gomorrah, and Zoar, the archaeological discoveries between the Jordan River and Tal al-Kharrar have identified this area as Biblical “Bethany Beyond the Jordan.” The area is where John was living when he baptized Jesus. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Baptism Site commission welcomes pilgrims from all around the world seeking spiritual connection to biblical times, a glimpse of history or a chance to be baptized where Jesus was so many years ago. If that’s not enough biblical history for one area, the cave where Lot and his daughters took refuge after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is located just outside an area called Safi (Biblical Zoar).
Then going to Ma’in Hot Springs. Ma'in Hot Springs, nestled in a serene valley near the Dead Sea in Jordan, is a captivating natural oasis known for its rejuvenating therapeutic qualities. This unique destination offers visitors a tranquil retreat with warm, mineral-rich waters that cascade down from dramatic cliffs into thermal pools. Surrounded by stunning desert landscapes, the springs are renowned for their healing properties, believed to ease stress, improve skin health, and promote overall relaxation. The Ma'in Hot Springs resort offers luxurious amenities such as private pools, spa treatments, and wellness services, ensuring a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape or a health-boosting experience, Ma'in Hot Springs provides the perfect blend of natural beauty and relaxation.
We'll start this morning by visiting Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a fascinating city of contrasts – a unique blend of old and new, situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. In the commercial heart of the city, ultra-modern buildings, hotels, restaurants, art galleries and boutiques rub shoulders comfortably with traditional coffee shops and tiny artisan workshops. Amman’s neighborhoods are diverse and range in cultural and historical context from the hustle and bustle of the downtown markets to the art galleries of Jabal Al Lweibdeh and the modern shopping district of Abdali.
