Transfer to Volcanoes National Park. (2.5 hours)

During the 2.5-hour transfer to Volcanoes National Park, you'll experience the breathtaking landscape of endless mountains and hills, providing perfect opportunities for scenic photographs as you pass through local villages and farms.

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime trek to encounter the rare mountain gorillas. With only around 1063 of these magnificent creatures left in the world and 1/3 in the Volcanoes National Park, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

After an early breakfast, you'll be met and transferred to the park headquarters for check-in and education on the trek and gorilla behavior. Suitable fitness groups will be divided before embarking on a 2-6 hour trek, depending on the animals' movements. This is considered one of the greatest natural animal encounters on the planet.

The rangers/trackers will lead you deep into the forest, traversing rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and freshen up before embarking on a 2.5-hour scenic transfer back to Kigali.
