Scenic Lemosho Route
For a less crowded and picturesque trek with a high summit success rate, the Lemosho Route is an excellent choice. Known for its breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings, this route offers a rewarding journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Starting from the west, the trek begins with a drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. The first two days take you through lush rainforest before reaching the Shira Plateau.
At Shira 2 Camp, the route merges with the Machame Route, following the southern circuit before descending through Mweka Gate. A minimum of seven days is recommended, though an eight-day itinerary allows for better acclimatization and increases the chances of reaching the summit successfully.
