Your safari begins in Nairobi where our friendly Jossec Safaris team greets you and gives a trip briefing. Drive south across open savannah to Amboseli, famous for its elephant families and Kilimanjaro views. After lunch at the lodge and a short rest, head out for a sunset game drive to spot elephants, lions, buffalo, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife before returning for dinner.

Begin with a sunrise game drive, the best time to see predators and grazing herds against the dramatic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return for breakfast and leisure time, then set out again in the afternoon for another exciting game drive through the park’s marshes, acacia woodlands, and open plains.

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive through Nairobi before descending into the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Naivasha and settle in at the resort. In the afternoon, you may opt for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and birdlife, plus a gentle guided walk on Crescent Island where giraffes and antelopes roam freely (optional, extra).

After breakfast, you may choose an optional bicycle ride through Hell’s Gate National Park (extra cost). It’s an adventure like no other—cycling past dramatic cliffs, geothermal hot springs, and wildlife such as zebras and giraffes. Afterward, continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive to spot rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and if lucky, tree-climbing lions. The park is also home to a wide variety of birds and other wildlife.

Leave Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive across rolling Rift Valley farmlands into the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive for lunch, relax, and then head out on your first afternoon game drive in the Mara, home to the Big Five and incredible concentrations of wildlife.

Spend the entire day exploring the Mara. Choose either two extended game drives (morning and afternoon) or a full-day safari with picnic lunch by the river, a great way to catch sight of seasonal wildebeest crossings during the Great Migration months. Optional activities include a sunrise hot-air balloon safari (USD 450 per person) followed by a champagne-style bush breakfast, or a cultural visit to a Maasai village (extra).

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Our Jossec Safaris team will personally drop you at your hotel or the airport and bid you farewell after an unforgettable safari.
