Stop At: Simanjiro, Tanzania After an early pick up in
Arusha, you will travel about 60 kilometers to the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro,
just south of the Kilimanjaro international airport all the way to the Mererani
area. This is the prime location where the Tanzanite mineral was discovered and
the only place where you can find in the whole wide world. This precious stone
is found about 2500 meters deep underground, on a volcanic igneous rock. You
will descend down the mine to explore how the mining process takes place, as
you explore the machinery and spend time with the miners on site. This is a
