Begin your journey from Athens and head towards the
remarkable Corinth Canal for a brief stop to admire this engineering marvel.
Continue to Epidaurus,
where you'll visit the world-renowned Ancient Theatre, celebrated for its
exceptional acoustics. Next, enjoy a short stop in the charming seaport town
of Nauplia,
before traveling through the fertile plains of Argos to reach Myceane. Here, explore
the fascinating archaeological site, including the legendary Tomb of Agamemnon,
and immerse yourself in the grandeur of classical Greek culture. In the
afternoon, set off for Olympia, the historic birthplace of the Olympic Games,
where you'll enjoy an overnight stay.
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel and then meet your guide for a tour of Olympia archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. Depart via Patras to Rio, cross the Corinthian bay by the famous new bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Overnight stay in Delphi.
Set off early and visit the archaeological site and the
Museum of Delphi. Delphi,
known in ancient times as the navel of the world remains one of the most
important UNESCO world heritage sites in Europe. Pass by Castalia spring,
visit at the archaeological site and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the
treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument
of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle and Delphi
museum, with it's spectacular exhibits include the frieze of the Treasury of
the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos the metopes of the
Athenian treasury, the famous bronze Charioteer, and many other artifacts.
After enjoying an optional lunch in a traditional restaurant in Delphi, you’ll
return back to Athens, arriving in the early evening.
