Day 2

Visit the ancient capital city of Georgia –Mtskheta, which is not farer than 20 km from Tbilisi.

Jvari monastery of VII c., where the beautiful view on the confluence of two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi are seen from.

Svetisckhoveli cathedral of XI c – the architectural masterpiece of Georgian Renaissance.

Uplistsikhe cave town- which was founded in II millennium B.C. Here you will have a perfect promenade in the caves and see how people used to stay in here in the very ancient times.

Drive back to Tbilisi

Start tour to mountain region

Kazbegi National Park is located on the northern slopes of the mighty Caucasus range, and its protected area covers a total of over 8,700 hectares. At 5,047 metres above sea level, Kazbegi Mountain (or Mkinvartsveri) is the third highest mountain in Georgia.

Day 4

Today, you will explore centuries-long history of Kakheti wine culture.

Visit Velistsikhe and taste wines

Our first stop will be in Bodbe convent, which according to the legend is a burial place of St. Nino, who converted Georgia to Christianity in the 4th century.

After we will visit Sighnaghi, the city of love and the Royal Town, one of the crossroads of the Great Silk Road surrounded by defensive walls with 23 towers.

Drive to Tsinandali, the residence of dukes of Georgia with beautiful English garden, a museum, and the wine cellar which belonged to prince Chavchavadze, 19th century public figure and poet. the famous wall of Sighnaghi, enjoy magnificent views around.

Finish tour and back to Tbilisi

Day 5
