Tour to Wonchi Crater Lake
Wenchi Crater Lake is located 155 km west of Addis Ababa, between Ambo and Weliso. Drive to Wonchi Crater Lake which is an extinct volcano, the top of which is 3300m above sea level. It is a crater that contains a large lake, hot mineral springs, waterfalls, beautiful valleys, and farmland. There is an option for walking or horse riding which starts at Kala – 3300m above sea level – on the rim of the crater and takes you down to the Lake and the Harbor via the beautiful views and waterfalls on your way, from where you could take a boat to the small island of Deber, visiting the monastery and Kirkos church. You may take another boat trip to observe the beauty of the lake.
